“Lip Augmentation and Botox are my most requested procedures. My injection technique allows for beautiful, youthful, and natural results. Let’s mesmerize the world with your beauty.” Alonso Martin MD
Lip augmentation is performed using injectable fillers made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body.
There’s a reason why lip enhancement techniques are one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the US. At Alonso Martin, MD, we strive to deliver the best lip fillers Miami has to offer. Our lips are one of the first things people see when they meet us. And with all the work our lips put in with talking, eating, drinking, and expressing, they are one of the first parts of our face to show age and become less supple. If you are in need of a lip boost, consider non-surgical lip fillers that can provide a long-lasting, natural-looking, plump lip.
Lifestyle, wellness, and aesthetics are all important parts of our quality of life. Dr. Alonso Martin, MD, and his team in Miami Beach, FL, are committed to helping patients improve in all aspects so that they can feel and look their best. With these high-quality, medical-grade lip fillers, you can elevate your look and boost your confidence.
Lip fillers are an injectable treatment used to enhance the lips and add volume. Different kinds of injectables will produce different results depending on your specific aesthetic needs. Overall, the goal of the procedure is to achieve a plump, accentuated lip look.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally found in the body which is great at retaining moisture. Lip fillers made with synthetic hyaluronic acid (HA) provide a naturally defined look that adds volume and can reduce lines and wrinkles around the mouth. HA can also be easily dissolved if you change your mind before the results wear off on their own.
Our preferred HA lip filler is Juvéderm VOLBELLA XC. With a comparatively smaller particle size, this filler offers a subtle, natural lip fill result that typically results in less extreme swelling and bruising post-procedure.
This variety of dermal filler is also hyaluronic acid based but uses Resilient Hyaluronic Acid, which typically lasts longer and can appear less rigid than traditional HA fillers. RHA fillers are great for lips since they are durable and can withstand the constant movement of the mouth.
For a flexible, natural lip fill look, we choose Restylane Kysse. This RHA filler provides fullness and volume while still allowing natural movement of the lips. Restylane Kysse also smooths the lips and can correct fine lines on and around the lips.
Fuller, plumper, more defined lips could be yours after a lip filler procedure. If you feel your lips are narrow, have become thinner due to age, or you just want to give them that extra boost, they can give you the subtle or dramatic results you’re looking for. Benefits of lip fillers include:
There are many reasons why you might be considering lip filler, and since lip injections are a simple, non-surgical procedure, you are most likely a great candidate. Our Miami lip filler patients are often looking to correct issues such as naturally thin lips, uneven lips, lips that are showing signs of aging, or a “gummy” smile.
Lip Filler Consultation and Preparation
The best way to determine if you are a candidate for lip filler and which filler is the best option for you is to come in for a consultation. We will examine your lips and skin and learn about your overall aesthetic and health goals. If lip fillers are an ideal choice for you, we will craft a treatment plan and explain any needed preparation.
Choosing Lip Fillers
One of the best things about lip filler treatment is that it is completely customizable. When deciding on your perfect lip goals, we will take into consideration your full facial proportions and features along with any inspirational examples you might have. Our end goal is always a natural, balanced, and gorgeous end result.
Our Miami lip filler patients appointment will begin with a skin cleansing and the application of a topical numbing agent. Then, your skilled injector will use very fine needles to delicately administer the filler in or near your lips. Treatments are usually only about 30 minutes or less.
After your lip filler procedure, you should be able to resume most daily activities right away since there is no sedation or anesthesia involved. You will need to wait a few hours to eat or drink until the numbing agent has worn off. You will experience some swelling and possibly bruising for several days post-procedure. This is normal and resolves on its own in the vast majority of cases. The length of results will vary, but with the products that we use, many of our patients see results for up to a year or more.
It’s important to be aware of what to expect after you receive the treatment to ensure the healing process goes smoothly.
You can expect noticeable swelling near injection sites.
You will likely experience the most extensive swelling, which may cause discomfort. This is normal.
By this point, you will likely be past peak swelling, and any injection site tenderness should be resolved.
Extreme swelling will resolve, though you may start to notice bruising. Overall, the lips should begin to settle, with swelling and bruising starting to subside.
Lips have almost completely stabilized, and you should no longer notice any extreme changes. Eating and drinking will feel more natural.
Enjoy your new lip look! Most patients see optimal results at this point.
